Our rich and vibrant parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto flourish because of thousands of dedicated clergy, staff, volunteers and lay ministers. If you are one of those people who help ensure Masses flow, children learn about the readings of the day and people are well prepared to move forward with the next phase of their sacramental lives, thank you.

The Archdiocese of Toronto's Office of Formation for Discipleship will be hosting the "Be Disciples. Make Disciples." Parish Ministry Conference on October 20, 2018.

To help you grow more deeply in your various ministries, we have a number of workshops that might be of interest to you.

If you're a catechist, you won't want to miss Leslie Miller's "Practical Approaches to Refining Your Catechesis". Come and learn some new tools for your catechetical ministry. Dr. Constance Price is also offering a workshop for catechists to help navigate the various resources both in print and online. If that sounds helpful, please join her for "Current Resources for All Catechists".

If you're involved in RCIA in the parish, you might be wondering how to help new Catholics stay engaged after the Sacraments of Initiation. Join Fr. Michael McGourty for "Unpacking the Potential of RCIA" and learn strategies for helping new Catholics feel like they belong.

We are called to see Christ in the sick and the dying. To help learn more about the "ministry of presence" and its importance in supporting the sick and dying, join Dr. Josephine Lombardi for "Encountering Christ in the Sick and Dying".

We are also called to see Christ in the face of the poor and those in need. Join Matthew Marquardt as he moderates a panel discussion, "Social Justice - A Vision of Support for Individuals and Families" and learn about ways to bring the social teaching of the Church into the "real world".

And we can't forget the call to help young people and families grow in their love of God. If you are involved in ministry with families and young people, you won't want to miss "Helping Young People Journey with God" with Leisa Anslinger, as she showcases a framework for reaching these important groups.

And that's not all! The conference also features workshops for those just getting started in ministry and those who have very well established ministries. Check out the detailed descriptions of all of workshops at: https://www.archtoronto.org/disciples
